Pivot-Style Single Grappler (aka: Landmine Pivot)

$ 64.99

The classic single landmine pivot that can be placed in a stack of 45 lb. Olympic plates to form the floor base. Insert an Olympic barbell into this pivot unit to make an angled barbell training set-up that can accommodate a wide variety of handle types (sold separately). You can do literally dozens (perhaps hundreds) of exercises with this unit; make unique combinations of aerobic and strength movements that can be done sequentially in a non-stop manner.

An Internet search of the terms "landmine training," "grappler training," or "angled barbell training" will reveal many of the numerous possibilities. This is one of the best ways to work excess fat off the abdomen and sides of your trunk (those  stubborn "love handles" WILL finally succumb to the assault of consistent, prolonged, hard landmine training). It is no wonder that landmine training is exploding (no pun intended) on the fitness scene.

The pictures show the "landmine" pivot in varying degrees of set-up. The first step is to drop the pivot into a stack of Olympic plates that act as a base (and form the "landmine" appearance that gave the product its' nickname). The red colored Olympic plates are used for stability of the base only, and do NOT provide resistance for the exercise. Next, one end of an Olympic barbell is inserted into the pivot receiver, and locked into place with a thumbscrew. Note: many of our competitors do not include a thumbscrew on their landmine pivot units, but we do because of the additional safety that it provides by preventing slippage of the barbell out of the pivot.

Finally, the opposite end of the barbell is loaded with the resistance weight, a handle, and a collar to hold it all in place. There are many types of handles available (sold separately) for specific uses, such as T-bar rowing. This pivot, in combination with some specialty handles, can perform the function of many machines that you would find in a commercial gym. The Olympic plates, Olympic collar, and Olympic barbell are not included and must be obtained separately.
