Reverse curls are a basic forearm building barbell exercise, focusing on the extensor muscles in the forearm. They are even more effective when done on an axle bar, due to the fat diameter and the fact that the axle bar does NOT allow the weight to rotate freely on a bushing (as does an Olympic bar). If the athlete also uses a thumb-less grip, the exercise more strongly involves the fingers, and becomes totally devastating. In the video, see both variations; the typical grip (which uses the thumb for support underneath the bar), and the thumb-less grip. Try alternating the grip styles from session to session, and go for crushing finger strength! See the video below.
